CHECK-IN: Check-in is from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Late check-ins can be accommodated and instructions will be given prior to your arrival. We will do our best to accommodate an early check-in if your room is available.
CHECK-OUT: Check-out time is 11:00am.
IDENTIFICATION: The name on the reservation must match the name used on the method of payment and corresponding photo ID will be requested. If the card holder is not present, a credit card authorization form must be completed along with proof of photo ID.
ADDITIONAL PERSONS: Reservations include accommodation for two people per room. There is a $50 charge per third person per night, allowed only in James Peasgood, Pier, and Aimee McPherson Suites. Upon request, sofa daybeds or a rollaway bed may be prepared for the additional guest.
CANCELLATIONS: Full refunds are offered for reservations up until 12pm PST one week in advance of the reservation check-in date. For example, if the reservation check-in is on a Friday, we require notice of cancellation by noon the Friday before scheduled arrival. After this time, the reservation deposit will not be refunded.
RESERVATION DEPOSIT: At the time of making a reservation, a reservation deposit will be charged in the amount of the first night’s stay.
BREAKFAST: Complimentary breakfast is served in the lobby dining area from 8:00am-10:00am. Breakfast includes coffee, tea, juice, fruit, yogurt and croissants from our favorite local organic bakery. Dietary restrictions are gladly accommodated with notice upon check-in or before.
PARKING: Guests may reserve on-site parking for $25 per night, pending availability. Parking is limited, so please reserve in advance. Please remove all valuables from your vehicle. Venice Beach House will not be held liable for loss of any kind or anything happening to a car parked in our parking area.
Overnight street parking is available throughout the Venice neighborhood, including along Pacific Avenue. Please read parking signs closely and obey posted restrictions to avoid towing.
NO SMOKING: There is no smoking allowed anywhere on the property. We maintain zero tolerance for violating this policy and enforce a $200 smoking fee for anyone smoking on site. We thank you for respecting the nature of our historic property and protected garden environment.
LIABILITY: Venice Beach House will not be responsible for any loss or damage of any property left in a guest’s room and/or on the property at any time.
CHILDREN: The Venice Beach House does not accommodate children under 12 years of age.
SERVICE ANIMALS: Service Dogs are always welcome accompanying trainers or owners whom they serve.
Please note that emotional support animals, not protected as Service Animals by California or Federal Law, are not considered Service Dogs. Fraudulently presenting an animal as a protected Service Animal is a criminal misdemeanor in the State of California.
NO PETS: Guests are not permitted to bring pets onto the property.
DAMAGE DEPOSIT: A Damage Deposit of $250 per accommodation is charged on the day of arrival. Damage Deposits may be retained at the discretion of VBH to cover property loss or damage, policy violations, or incidentals, including late departure fees. Unretained Damage Deposits are refunded within 24 hours of check-out.
DAMAGES: In the event of any damages occurring in the room during a guests stay, guests will be held responsible for the cost of repairs.
LUGGAGE STORAGE: Complimentary luggage storage is available, before check-in or after check-out, only for current registered guests on arrival and departure days.
FORGOTTEN ITEMS: Guests will be contacted immediately regarding any valuable items discovered left behind in a guest room. Shipping may be arranged at the expense of the guest. Without response within one week of contact, Venice Beach House will not retain forgotten items.
POLICY MODIFICATIONS & CONTACTING THE HOUSE: The Venice Beach House reserves the right to change our Privacy Policy at any time; notice of changes will be published on the website.
